Well, that’s a wrap on the regular season and after weeks of speculation and reading tea leaves the brackets are set and the play-in tournament kicks off on Tuesday, April 11th. All four California teams will be participating in either the Play-in or Playoff action this week and it’s sure to be a shootout in the wild, wild Western Conference!
The Sacramento Kings finished 3rd in the standings, the Los Angeles Clippers placed 5th, the Golden State Warriors came in 6th, and the Los Angeles Lakers are the 7 seed. The Kings will host the Warriors in the 3 vs. 6 matchup, the Clippers square off against the Kevin Durant led Suns, and Lakers take on the Timberwolves in the Play-in round.
The Warriors averted a huge disappointment by avoiding the Play-in altogether and got the matchup that Draymond Green wanted. While the Kings deserve a lot of props for their strongest season, and making the playoffs for the first time, in 19 years they don’t have any playoff experience. This will be of utmost importance in this series, mark my words! Go Dubs!!!
